Povi
How we use your information
This is the whole of it: if you join the waitlist, we hold your email address so we can send you Povi development updates and tell you when the app is ready. Nothing else.
This notice is written in plain language by William Cummings, who runs Povi, and describes what the site and its email provider actually do today. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer.
Who is responsible
Povi is run by William Cummings, an individual, not a company. Questions about this notice or your information go to povi@joinpovi.com.
What we collect when you join
Your email address, which you type into the signup form.
Your agreement to receive Povi development and launch emails, recorded with the date and time you gave it and the date and time you confirmed it by clicking the link in our email.
Technical details our email provider, Kit, records with any form submission — such as the IP address the submission came from and the page it came from — which Kit uses to prevent abuse and to show us which site referred you.
If you arrived through a tagged link (for example the link in our TikTok or Instagram profile), the campaign name in that link, so we know which channel brought you. Campaign names describe the channel, never you.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for, and this site has no field for, your diagnosis, symptoms, weight, medications, fertility or cycle information, date of birth, or any medical record.
We know that joining a PCOS waitlist can itself say something about your health. We treat it that way: we collect an email address only, we do not build a profile about you, we do not sell or share the list, and we keep it away from advertising platforms.
There is no advertising pixel, session recording, fingerprinting script or social-media tracker on this site.
Why we can email you
Because you asked us to. You tick an unticked box before joining, and you then confirm through a link we email you. We only send to addresses that completed that confirmation.
You can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in the footer of every email, or by writing to povi@joinpovi.com. Withdrawing stops future emails; it does not undo emails already sent.
Who processes your information
Kit (kit.com), our email service, stores the waitlist, sends the confirmation email, the updates and the unsubscribe link, and keeps the record of who is subscribed. Kit is based in the United States.
Cloudflare hosts this website and provides aggregate traffic measurement (Cloudflare Web Analytics). The measurement script sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, does not read query strings, and gives us page views and visits by country, device and referring site — not individual people.
Google Workspace provides the povi@joinpovi.com mailbox, so anything you email us is stored there.
These providers process information on our behalf under their own terms. We use no other third-party service on this site.
Cookies and storage
This website sets no cookies of its own and stores nothing about you in your browser. Signing up sends your address directly to Kit; Kit's own scripts are not loaded on this page.
If your browser has JavaScript turned off, the form is sent to a page hosted by Kit instead, and that page is covered by Kit's privacy policy and may use cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address while you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, Kit keeps a record that you unsubscribed so we do not email you again by mistake.
If you would rather be deleted entirely, email povi@joinpovi.com and say so; we will remove the record from Kit. Test addresses used to check the signup flow are deleted or tagged as tests.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw your agreement to be emailed. Write to povi@joinpovi.com.
Some US states give residents specific rights over health-related information, including Washington's My Health My Data Act, which can treat interest in a health product as consumer health data. We honour deletion and access requests from anyone, in any state, without asking you to prove where you live.
Where we market
Povi is currently being marketed to adults in the United States. You can join from elsewhere, and the same practices apply, but this notice is written against US law and has not been adapted for other regions.
Children
Povi is intended for adults. Please do not sign up if you are under 18.
